The Multiple Delivery Addresses feature allows you to decide upon the delivery address of a particular invoice, sales order or purchase order from a list of customer, supplier or company addresses.
For example, if you are a construction company, your suppliers will usually deliver directly to a building site. Now when you create a purchase order, you can select the site address from your company delivery address list.

Your company may have a different pricing structure depending on the customer. For example, you may want to differentiate between trade and public prices. The Custom Prices feature allows you to specify a variety of prices for a given product.

The Sales Order Fulfilment option allows you to generate a purchase order from outstanding sales orders that cannot be created from existing stock levels. This feature is essential for any company that holds a limited amount of stock, or for businesses that work using a æJust-In-TimeÆ ordering schedule.

Asset disposal has been made even easier. The fixed asset disposal procedure has now been automated as a wizard routine to make the entire process quicker. The routine uses details from the Fixed Asset record meaning that there is less chance of making an error.

You can use the new special stock codes for one-off items or custom-made articles to create æfree-formatÆ product invoices, product credit notes, sales orders and purchase orders.

You can now save yourself time by saving your batch invoices. Then the next time you have to use the invoice, you can simply change the figures and date.

Use the ActiveSearch to speed up data entry. The ActiveSearch works by finding the closest matches to what you are typing and displaying them in a popup list for you to select from.
There are two types of ActiveSearch popup list, Reference popup list and Recent Items popup list. The Reference popup list finds the closest match as you begin typing a word. The Recent Items list remembers the last 32 entries made in that field or list.

You can now export your Sage Line 50 data into Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Export your accounting information to Outlook to e-mail it to colleagues or business partners. Export your accounting information to Word or Excel to create professional reports and business plans.

If you have SageCover and have an active Internet connection you can now e-mail support queries directly to Sage. The product version number, problem category and contact details are all sent as part of the e-mail message allowing you more time to work on your accounts, while knowing that Sage Customer Support are working to solve your query.

The Invoicing module has been streamlined so that it easier to create your invoices, sales orders, quotes and proformas.

It's even easier to keep your data safe. Your data is now automatically checked before you make a backup. The routine also remembers where your backup is to help prevent you from accidentally overwriting existing files when you restore your data.

The report facility has been reviewed and changed to create an improved reporting tool. You can now e-mail reports to your business partners, invoices to your customers and acknowledgement messages to your suppliers.
To help people new to report creation, we have also changed the Reporting Wizard to make it more intuitive and easy-to-use.

There are more automated routines in your new Sage Line 50 v8 program. From disposing of fixed assets to creating a new report, routines have been automated or simplified to save you time and to simplify your everyday accounting tasks.

General improvements have been made throughout the entire Sage Line 50 program, both to the design but also in the background.
A number of cosmetic changes have been incorporated into some modules of your new Sage Line 50 program, making the screens easier to read and understand.
The File Import facility has been updated to allow you to import additional fields in the customer and product modules as well as transaction records.
Sage Line 50 version 8 also has improved integration with other Sage products, including the new Sage e-commerce suite of products.

Included free of charge, Sage Forecasting provides you with an integrated forecasting solution to help with your cash flow, budget and profit and loss projections. Sage Forecasting helps you increase efficiency and control of your business.

Recognising the amazing opportunities e-business can bring to your business, Sage Line 50 version 8 is web-enabled and hosts a web browser. You now have access to a range of flexible e-business facilities, including Sage WebCatalogue and Sage WebTrader 50 so you can trade online and electronically transfer orders securely to Line 50.

With the advent of global communications and the move towards the æelectronic integrationÆ of companies, Sage Line 50 has introduced new e-banking features into Sage Line 50. These new features allow you to electronically reconcile your actual bank statement against the bank statement in Sage Line 50 and analyse transactions in your bank account against the transactions in your Sage accounting program.
